Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance of college buildings, classrooms, dormitories, and outdoor spaces.
  • Coordinate regular inspections and repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other essential infrastructure.
  • Monitor and manage preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities remain in good working condition.

Space Management

  • Manage space allocation and usage, ensuring efficient use of classrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
  • Coordinate with department heads and administration for scheduling of events, meetings, and special activities.
  • Ensure the timely setup and teardown of equipment for college events and activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, fire safety, and health standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that emergency procedures are in place and well-communicated to all staff and students.
  • Maintain fire safety equipment and ensure fire drills are conducted as per regulations.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Liaise with external service providers for maintenance services, cleaning, and other contracted work.
  • Review service contracts and manage vendor performance, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain records of vendor agreements, payments, and service schedules.

Budget & Inventory Management

  • Assist in preparing and managing the facilities budget.
  • Monitor and manage inventories of maintenance supplies and materials.
  • Order and track the delivery of new equipment or materials needed for facility repairs or upgrades.

Sustainability & Green Initiatives

  • Work with the sustainability team to implement energy-saving initiatives and green building practices.
  • Ensure waste management procedures are followed, including recycling programs and reducing environmental impact.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies, coordinating with relevant teams (security, health services, etc.).
  • Ensure the effective management of campus facility-related emergencies such as power outages, plumbing failures, or natural disasters.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably within a higher education or similar institutional environment.
  • Experience in coordinating maintenance teams, managing contractors, and overseeing facility operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
