We are seeking a versatile & efficient Manager - Tendering with experience in Marine/ Mechanical industry. As Manager - Tendering , you will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing the bid budget, resources effectively and establishing compliance with all RFP requirements. You will also uphold an understanding of market trends and competitor activity to create a formidable bid strategy. Job Description · Handle different levels of team members to analyse and consolidate the complete Contract and Tendering strategy. Leading the end-to-end bid process, including opportunity identification, qualification and proposal submission. · Co-ordinate with all involved departments relating to tendering activities and ensure all aspects of bidding are addressed. Manage bidding budgets, resources and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions. Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement · Coordinate client’s bid requirements within the various departments such as planning, QA/QC, HSE, Engineering, Production, etc., · Maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation, including bid files, records of communication and pricing information. · Review Contracts - Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation and Execution. · Review, Control & Approve the Bill of Materials/ cost estimates of subcontracts developed by the bidding team. (based on the evaluations made by the other technical departments (engineering, procurement, project management) Coordinate & liaise between internal and external parties in negotiation sessions to secure favorable terms and conditions while focusing on profitability. · Review team’s bidding documents for the subcontract RFQ’s. · Independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines. · Provide guidance on contract matters to Senior Management/ project managers or other department staff · Review performance of team monthly, quarterly & annually on agreed KPIs · Ensure team stays motivated · Provide training to new project managers and other employees in tendering practices and processes. · Develop and implement procedures for tender management and administration in compliance with Company policy. Requirements Bachelor's degree/Master’s Degree in Mechanical/ Marine Engineering Ideal candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in a tendering role within Mechanical / Marine Engineering industry Effective ability to negotiate and execute contracts. Understanding pricing strategies and financial analysis in bid development. Ability to create visually appealing and engaging bid presentations. Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills are essential. · Ability to work under tight deadlines and on multiple documents.
