Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner

Role Overview: You will be working as an Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner for Signet Health, managing the Behavioral Health Services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Your essential functions will include performing H&Ps on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units, participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning, agency-wide training programs, and providing quality clinical documentation as per regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Perform H&Ps on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units - Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning - Participate in agency-wide training programs and in-services - Provide quality and timely clinical documentation as per regulatory requirements Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork - Experience and skill in treating patients with various types and presentations of psychiatric/behavioral health disorders - Preferably, background experience in Behavioral Health nursing and substance use treatment - Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from an Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner program accredited by CCNE or ACEN - Eligible for Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC - Effective problem-solving skills and excellent oral/written communication skills - Flexibility to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment Company Details: MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a not-for-profit, 926-bed academic medical center in the heart of the nation's capital, is a leading healthcare institution dedicated to providing top-notch care to the community.
