Acute Nurse Practitioner

As an Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner at Signet Health managing the Behavioral Health Services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center, you will be a valuable member of a great team. Your role will involve performing H&Ps on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units and ensuring follow-through on other medical illnesses. Additionally, you will participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, agency-wide training programs, and in-services. Your contribution will include providing quality and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Perform H&Ps on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units - Follow through on other medical illnesses - Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning - Participate in agency-wide training programs and in-services - Provide quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies requirements Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork - Experience and skill in treating patients with various types and presentations of psychiatric/behavioral health disorders - Behavioral Health nursing experience and substance use treatment background experience preferred - Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree in an Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner program accredited by CCNE or ACEN - Eligible for Acute or Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC - Effective problem-solving skills and excellent oral/written communication skills - Flexibility in adjusting to the needs of a fast-paced environment Salary Range: $115,000 to $143,619 Annually At MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a not-for-profit, 926-bed academic medical center, you will be part of a legacy that has consistently set the highest standard for healthcare and surpassed it year after year.
