Manual Tester Experience: (2 to 4 Yrs) Proven experience in manual testing of web applications, including functional, system, integration, and user acceptance testing. Shift – IST Night shift (US PST Day Time) Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. JD: Test Planning & Design: Review and analyze web application requirements, specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. Test Execution: Execute manual test cases across various functionalities, user flows, and browser/device combinations to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues. Defect Management: Identify, document, and report software defects with clear steps to reproduce, relevant information, and expected/actual results using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira). Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing to ensure that new features, bug fixes, or changes do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionalities. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other QA team members to understand project requirements, provide feedback, and ensure timely resolution of issues. Documentation: Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices. Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues and identify potential areas for improvement in the user experience. Required Skills and Qualifications: Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC), software development life cycle (SDLC), and bug life cycle. Test Case Design: Ability to design effective and comprehensive test cases based on requirements. Defect Management Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, ZenDesk). SQL (Optional but preferred): Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation if required for the application. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting. Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is often preferred.
