Key Responsibilities: Risk Assessment: Actuaries analyze data to estimate the likelihood and potential cost of future events, such as death, sickness, accidents, or natural disasters. Financial Modeling: They develop and use complex mathematical and statistical models to evaluate risks and predict financial outcomes. Product Development: Actuaries design and price insurance policies, pension plans, and other financial products, ensuring they are both competitive and financially sound. Financial Planning: They help organizations plan for future financial obligations, such as pension payments and insurance claims, by calculating necessary reserves and funding levels.
