Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Cochin, Kerala Company: Reputed Group of Companies Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our group companies based in Cochin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive financial management, including accounts finalization, compliance, taxation, cash flow, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. This role is ideally suited for a Qualified CA/CMA or CA/CMA Inter-qualified professional with a proven track record of 6–8 years in managing the finance function of SMEs or business groups. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Management Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts across all group entities. Finalize accounts as per statutory requirements and coordinate with external auditors. Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and ensure robust internal financial controls. Cash, Banking & Liquidity Manage daily cash flow, petty cash, and treasury operations. Liaise with banks for fund transfers, credit facilities, and reconciliations. Ensure adequate liquidity and manage inter-company fund movements. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax , and other statutory returns and payments. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Coordinate for tax assessments, audits, and represent the company before authorities as needed. Receivables, Payables & Working Capital Supervise and streamline the accounts receivable and payable processes. Ensure timely collections and payments, with effective credit control measures. Efficiently manage working capital and identify cash optimization opportunities. Budgeting, MIS & Financial Planning Lead the budgeting process across group companies. Monitor actuals vs. budget with detailed variance analysis. Prepare regular MIS reports to support strategic decision-making. Contribute to financial forecasting, scenario planning, and business strategy. Financial Administration & Team Management Establish and maintain strong internal control systems and SOPs. Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team. Drive automation and process improvements using appropriate software and digital tools. Candidate Profile: Qualifications: CA or CMA (Qualified) , or CA/CMA Inter with solid SME sector experience. Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of hands-on experience in core finance roles, preferably in SMEs or multi-unit/group company environments. Skills: In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, GST, income tax, and statutory compliance . Expertise in Budgeting, MIS, working capital, liquidity, and cash flow management . Proficient in Tally, MS Excel , and other accounting software. Strong analytical, leadership , and interpersonal communication skills.
