We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our Finance & Accounts team and support our growing business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including purchases, sales, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally or other accounting software.
• Handle vendor invoices, payment entries, expense booking, and ledger reconciliation.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and supporting records.

2. D2C & E-commerce Accounting

• Reconcile sales, settlements, refunds, returns, and payment gateway transactions from platforms such as Shopify, Razorpay, and other e-commerce channels.
• Reconcile marketplace settlements and associated charges, where applicable.
• Track COD remittances, shipping charges, platform commissions, and other transaction-related expenses.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between sales reports, payment settlements, and accounting records.

3. GST & Statutory Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Support GST input tax credit reconciliation and maintain accurate GST records.
• Assist with TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return preparation.
• Ensure timely documentation and coordination for statutory compliance requirements.

4. Banking & Financial Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Follow up on outstanding vendor and customer balances.
• Assist in tracking daily collections, payments, and cash flow.

5. Reporting & Audit Support

• Support monthly accounting closure and preparation of financial reports.
• Prepare expense summaries, reconciliation statements, and other MIS reports.
• Maintain organized financial records for internal reviews and statutory audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and consultants whenever required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in B.Com, BBA (Finance), or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Working knowledge of Zoho books is preferred.
• Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and accounting principles.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, lookups, and reconciliation.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple transactions, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience in a D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, or consumer products company.
• Familiarity with Shopify, payment gateways, marketplace settlements, and logistics-related reconciliations.
• Experience working with high-volume sales transactions.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and purchase reconciliations.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: Chennai (Work from Office)
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹31,000.00 per month
