Job Description

As an Accountant for an IT Company, you will be responsible for various finance and accounting tasks in the Finance & Accounts department. With a job type of Part-Time and a requirement of 5+ years of experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial compliance and accuracy within the Information Technology and Services industry. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring timely deduction and deposit of TDS, filing TDS returns quarterly, managing Provident Fund (PF), ESI, and other statutory compliances accurately, recording and reconciling Upwork revenue, invoices, fees, and withdrawal, handling bank transactions and reconciliations, preparing and filing monthly/quarterly GST returns, maintaining GST input/output registers, managing e-invoicing for applicable transactions, timely preparation and filing of TDS returns, maintaining accurate books of accounts using accounting software, and providing support during internal and statutory audits. To excel in this role, you should have a solid knowledge of Indian accounting standards and taxation laws, proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, experience working with IT companies or handling export services will be beneficial, and possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with online invoicing portals and working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Busy.
