1. Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join a Chartered Accountancy firm in Narayanaguda, Hyderabad.

The candidate will be responsible for handling accounting activities, preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, and supporting taxation and statutory compliance activities.

Strong knowledge of Advanced MS Excel and practical experience in preparing financial reports are essential for this role.

2. Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain books of accounts and financial records.
• Handle journal entries, purchase, sales, receipts, and payment entries.
• Maintain General Ledger, Cash Book, and Bank Book.
• Perform Bank Reconciliation and Ledger Reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet.

Advanced MS Excel & Financial Reporting

• Prepare financial statements, financial summaries, and MIS reports.
• Analyse financial data and prepare reports for management and clients.
• Work with large volumes of financial data using Advanced Excel.
• Use Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, IF formulas, and other Excel functions.
• Perform data cleaning, reconciliation, and financial data analysis.
• Prepare customised Excel reports, dashboards, and monthly financial reports.

GST & TDS Compliance

• Assist in GST calculations, reconciliations, and return preparation.
• Handle GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B-related activities.
• Assist with TDS calculations, deductions, and quarterly return filings.
• Maintain GST and TDS records and supporting documentation.

Client & Audit Support

• Coordinate with clients for accounting data and financial documents.
• Assist in audit preparation and verification of financial records.
• Maintain proper documentation and client-wise financial records.
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of assigned accounting work.

3. Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Journal Entries.
• Advanced MS Excel skills are mandatory.
• Practical knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, and Excel formulas.
• Experience in preparing financial reports and MIS reports.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Basic knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

4. Educational Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance.
• Candidates with relevant accounting and finance backgrounds are preferred.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a CA firm.
• Hands-on experience in Advanced Excel and financial reporting.
• Ability to independently prepare and analyse financial reports.
• Candidates with practical accounting and reconciliation experience will be preferred.
