Role Overview

The Academic Coordinator – Cambridge Curriculum is responsible for the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Cambridge curriculum across assigned stages. The role focuses on academic quality, teacher support, curriculum alignment, assessment practices, and learner outcomes in accordance with Cambridge International Education standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Academic Leadership

  • Ensure effective implementation of the Cambridge curriculum (Primary, Lower Secondary, and/or IGCSE).
  • Align lesson planning, schemes of work, and learning outcomes with Cambridge learning objectives.
  • Monitor curriculum progression, continuity, and vertical alignment across grades.
  • Support integration of interdisciplinary approaches, inquiry-based learning, and global perspectives.

Teaching & Learning Quality

  • Observe classrooms regularly and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Guide teachers on differentiated instruction, assessment for learning, and student engagement strategies.
  • Promote best practices in pedagogy aligned with Cambridge teaching frameworks.
  • Support implementation of learner-centric and skills-based learning.

Assessment & Reporting

  • Oversee formative and summative assessments in line with Cambridge assessment criteria.
  • Support teachers in setting, moderating, and analysing assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and academic performance data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely academic reporting to parents and stakeholders.

Teacher Support & Professional Development

  • Mentor teachers in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and assessment practices.
  • Identify professional development needs and coordinate training sessions/workshops.
  • Support new teachers with Cambridge orientation and academic induction.
  • Foster a collaborative academic culture focused on reflective practice.

Cambridge Compliance & Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with Cambridge International Education requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate Cambridge documentation, audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes.
  • Act as a liaison between the school and Cambridge International Education when required.

Student-Centred Support

  • Work closely with teachers to support diverse learner needs.
  • Monitor academic interventions and enrichment programmes.
  • Address academic concerns in collaboration with counsellors, SEN teams, and parents.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with school leadership, coordinators, and subject heads.
  • Communicate academic expectations clearly to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in academic planning meetings and school development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education (M.Ed / PGCE / equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Prior experience as an Academic Coordinator, Subject Lead, or Senior Teacher is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge frameworks, assessments, and pedagogy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
