This involves working with a forging process, which can be either hot or cold. The technician's main duties include setting up and operating the forging machines, inspecting finished products for quality, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production. Key Responsibilities (Typical duties for this type of role): Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and tend to forging machines and presses. This includes adjusting machine settings, pressures, and depths of strokes to ensure correct part formation. Tooling and Dies: Install, adjust, and remove dies, synchronizing cams, and other forging equipment. Quality Control: Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues and machine malfunctions to maintain a smooth production flow.
