Job Profile: Logistics ExecutivePosition Title: Logistics Executive Department: Logistics & Supply Chain Reports To: Logistics Manager / Operations Head Job PurposeThe Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of goods within the company’s supply chain. The role ensures timely deliveries, accurate documentation, cost optimization, and smooth coordination with vendors, transporters, and clients. Key ResponsibilitiesShipment Coordination Plan, schedule, and monitor domestic and international shipments. Arrange pickups, track consignments, and ensure timely delivery. Documentation & Compliance Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and customs documentation. Ensure compliance with import/export laws, regulations, and company policies. Vendor & Client Coordination Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, courier companies, and customs agents. Maintain communication with clients regarding shipment status and resolve delivery issues. Inventory & Warehouse Management Monitor stock movement and maintain inventory accuracy. Support warehouse operations for inbound and outbound logistics. Cost & Process Optimization Negotiate freight rates with vendors and optimize transportation costs. Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and efficiency. Reporting & MIS Maintain shipment trackers, daily/weekly MIS reports, and cost analysis reports. Update ERP/logistics software with shipment and inventory details. Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and transportation processes. Good understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and shipment tracking tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. 1–4 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations (depending on seniority). Experience with freight forwarding, customs clearance, or courier services is an advantage.
