Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of offset printing machine operators and helpers. Ensure all print jobs meet quality standards and client specifications. Monitor and manage print schedules to ensure timely completion of orders. Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy, colour consistency, registration, and overall print quality. Oversee preventive maintenance and minor repairs on printing equipment. Optimize use of materials and minimize waste. Train and mentor machine operators and junior staff. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies. Coordinate with prepress, post press (binding/finishing), and other departments for smooth workflow. Maintain records of production, downtime, and machine performance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a supervisor or senior operator in an offset printing environment. Strong knowledge of offset printing machines. Understanding of colour theory, registration, ink/water balance, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret job orders, layouts, and colour proofs. Leadership and team management skills. Good communication and problem-solving abilities. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with routine machine maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: Diploma in Printing Technology or related field. 3 to 5+ years of experience in offset printing. Working Conditions: Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Physically active role with standing, lifting, and machine operation. Shift work required depending on production schedules.
