Key Responsibilities: Fleet Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of buses and other transport vehicles to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Route Planning & Optimization: Develop and implement safe and efficient bus routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and students. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations, safety protocols, and institute policies. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and driver training. Cost Optimization & Profitability: Manage fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall transport budget to ensure cost-effective operations. He/She will be solely responsible for the profitability of Transport Dept. Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Emergency Handling: Develop contingency plans for breakdowns, accidents, and adverse weather conditions. Data & MIS Management: Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports. Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage drivers and transport staff, ensuring high service standards. Support & Satisfaction: Address transport-related concerns from students and parents, ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience.
