Job Summary: The Manager Detergent Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve business goals for the detergent product line. This role involves sales activities, lead generation, identifying new market, team management, territory planning, distributor and retail channel management, and ensuring market share growth in assigned regions. Key Responsibilities: Sales Planning:- Develop and implement effective sales strategies for detergent product categories. Generate leads and develop contacts with target customers. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and reports. Team Management:- Lead and motivate a team of Sales Officers, Area Sales Executives, and Promoters. Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews. Drive achievement of individual and team sales targets. Setting target for self and team Channel & Distribution Management Manage and expand the distributor and retail network for detergents. Ensure stock availability, proper merchandising, and visibility at the retail level. Monitor distributor performance and resolve supply chain issues. Customer & Market Development Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and institutional buyers. Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned regions. Conduct market visits to understand customer preferences and product feedback. Reporting & Compliance Ensure timely submission of reports related to sales, market feedback, and competitor intelligence. Monitor adherence to company policies, trade schemes, and credit limits. Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and brand-building activities. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 5+ years of sales experience in FMCG, with at least 23 years in detergent or related categories. Strong understanding of rural and urban sales dynamics. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams. Skills Required: Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong negotiation and communication abilities. Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills. Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
