3D Laser Scanning - Marine Total Station Surveying

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with hands-on experience in 3D Laser Scanning and Marine Total Station Surveying. This role involves leading scanning and modeling projects across terrestrial, marine, and industrial sites, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Engineering & Execution

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of scanning/modeling tasks across multiple sites
• Develop scopes, timelines, and resource plans with engineering and operations teams
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to propose tailored scanning solutions
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project needs
• Manage vendor procurement and logistics for field operations
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, ASME, and internal standards

Point Cloud Processing & Modeling

• Process point cloud data using FARO Scene, Autodesk ReCap, Trimble Real Works, and Cloud Compare
• Generate detailed 3D models, as-built drawings, and digital twins for retrofit and engineering projects
• Collaborate across departments for clash detection and interference analysis

3D Scanning & Data Acquisition

• Execute 3D scanning on terrestrial, marine, and industrial sites using FARO, BLK 360, TRIMBLE TX8, and WINGTRA 1776
• Align data acquisition with client requirements and project goals
• Validate data using GA, P&ID, and structural drawings
• Capture complex structures including pipe racks, ship hulls, machinery, and industrial plants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in survey and inspection
• Proficient in FARO Scene, Autodesk ReCap, Trimble Real Works, Cloud Compare
• Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic Linux/Mac environments
• Certification in GPR & 3D Laser Scanning (preferred)
• Experience in marine total station survey is essential
