2D Character Illustrator & Storyboard Refining Artist

You are a freelance 2D artist responsible for designing original characters and refining storyboards into clean, animation-ready panels for cinematic, story-driven 2D animation projects such as short films or series where characters, acting, and mood are crucial. - Create original character designs including turnarounds, expressions, and key poses based on written briefs and rough concepts. - Refine rough storyboards into clean line-art panels with correct proportions, expressions, and camera angles. - Ensure consistency of characters across all panels and shots. - Add basic indications for lighting, mood, and composition to support background and animation teams. - Prepare animation-ready files (layered PSD/Clip Studio/etc.) for the animators. - Communicate effectively with the director/lead artist, accept feedback, and meet agreed deadlines. You should possess the following skills: - Strong 2D drawing skills in anatomy, faces, gestures, and expressions. - Experience in character illustration and/or storyboarding / storyboard clean-up. - Good understanding of cinematic framing, posing, and acting. - Proficiency in Photoshop / Clip Studio / similar software with layered files. - Ability to adapt to given visual styles and incorporate creativity when necessary. - Reliable, responsive, and capable of working independently as a remote freelancer. You must be available for 3 days a week with a fixed schedule that can be mutually finalized. It is essential to remain reachable during working hours for feedback, revisions, and handover processes.,
