2D Character Illustrator & Storyboard Refining Artist - Junior

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing original and expressive characters as a 2D Character Illustrator & Storyboard Cleanup Artist for a creative startup producing short-format cinematic animated movies based on themes of astrology and stock market. Your work will define the visual tone and identity of the projects. Key Responsibilities: - Create new character illustrations and full-body character turn-around sheets based on written briefs and descriptions. - Convert rough storyboard frames into clean, detailed illustrations with correct proportions and facial consistency. - Add facial expressions, refine poses, and enhance visual storytelling according to given direction. - Maintain style consistency across multiple episodes and character appearances. - Collaborate with animators to ensure production-ready assets. - Work closely with the creative director to match the cinematic tone and mood of the series. Qualifications Required: - Strong drawing fundamentals including anatomy, perspective, and proportions. - Proficiency in digital art tools like Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Krita. - Ability to adapt to an established art style and maintain consistency. - Good sense of expression, silhouette, and visual clarity. - Attention to detail and patience for cleanup-heavy work. - Preferred but not mandatory: Prior experience in 2D animation pipelines or character cleanup work.
