2D Animator

As a 2D Animator specializing in Spine and Sprite Animation, you will play a crucial role in bringing characters and game elements to life. Your primary responsibility will be to create high-quality animations that align with the style and quality demonstrated in the provided reference video. Collaborating closely with our art and development teams, you will deliver animations for in-game characters, attacks, idles, and transitions. Your tasks will include rigging, bone setup, and character animation using Spine 2D, as well as animating sprite-based game assets for various actions such as idle, walk, run, attack, jump, hit, and death. It is essential to replicate the stylized animation style from the reference video and optimize animations specifically for mobile games. Working in tandem with artists and developers, you will ensure that animations enhance gameplay and meet visual expectations. Timely delivery of assets and incorporating feedback promptly are key aspects of this role. The essential skills for this position include expertise in Spine 2D for rigging and animation, proficiency in sprite animation and cutout animation workflows, a strong grasp of timing, weight, and movement principles, and experience in creating game-ready animations such as looping idles, attacks, and transitions. A portfolio or demo reel reflecting the reference style is a mandatory requirement. Additional skills that would be advantageous for this role include familiarity with game engines like Unity or Cocos, knowledge of 2D tools such as Photoshop and After Effects, and a basic understanding of game development pipelines.
