Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to auto insurance, third-party liability carriers, and attorneys. Verify patient coverage and eligibility, including PIP (Personal Injury Protection) and MedPay benefits. Track claims and follow up on unpaid or underpaid bills to ensure timely reimbursement. Work with personal injury attorneys to ensure proper lien filing and documentation. Review and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of billing, payments, denials, and collections. Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance adjusters, and legal representatives. Understand and comply with HIPAA, billing regulations, and state laws relevant to personal injury billing. Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations. Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and reimbursement procedures. Knowledge of medical coding systems: CMS -1500, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. Proficiency in using billing software and practice management systems. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
