PLC Programmer Winding Machines Company: Zetta WATT Pvt Ltd, Bangalore Qualification: Diploma / BE in E&C Experience - 2-5 years Role Overview The PLC Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining PLC programs for motor winding machines and automation systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the electrical and mechanical to integrate control logic, HMI interfaces, and machine motion systems. Experience in motion control is a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for winding machines (Structured Text & FBD) Create and configure HMI interfaces for machine operation and user control Integrate PLC controls with servo motors, VFDs, sensors and pneumatics Configure and tune multi-axis synchronization for winding applications (needle winding, flyer winding, linear winder) Work with mechanical and electrical teams for seamless integration of machine controls Debug issues in real-time during machine trials and customer site installations Prepare documentation: PLC logic flow, error/alarms mapping, and I/O lists Support machine commissioning , calibration, and performance testing Create standardized function blocks and improve program modularity for future machines Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting support for customers when required Ensure backup, version control, and safety interlock compliance for all programs Desired Technical Skills Hands-on experience with B&R , Siemens & Mitsubishi PLCs (any 2 preferred) Strong knowledge of: Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST) Servo motor & drive configuration , Tu(mandatory) Motion control basics and axis synchronization Familiarity with HMI design (WinCC / GT Designer / Delta DOPSoft / similar) Working knowledge of I/O mapping, wiring diagrams, and field sensors Understanding of mechanical automation systems is a plus (training will be provided) Key Traits Problem-solving mindset with logical thinking Hands-on approach and willingness to spend time on the shop floor Ability to work under deadlines during client project delivery stages Clear communication and team collaboration mindset
