Responsibilities

  • Lead group and/or individual yoga sessions based on appropriate skill levels.
  • Guide students through postures, breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Adapt poses and sequences for different skill levels, injuries, or special populations.
  • Prepare class sequences in advance and ensure variety and progression over time.
  • Provide hands-on or verbal adjustments as appropriate and with consent.
  • Monitor students for proper alignment and form to prevent injuries.
  • Educate students on yoga philosophy, mindfulness, and holistic wellness.
  • Keep studio equipment clean and organized (e.g., mats, blocks, straps).
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, or continuing education sessions as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and comply with studio or employer policies.
