Role Description This part-time role for a Native Language into English Legal Translator is based in New Delhi with some flexibility for remote work, making it a hybrid role. The translator will be responsible for translating legal documents, including criminal and civil case files, FIRs, statements, and court judgments. Day-to-day tasks include preparing legal documents, ensuring terminology accuracy, and collaborating with the legal team to ensure high-quality translations. Qualifications Proficiency in Translation and Legal Translation skills Experience in Law and Legal Document Preparation Familiarity with legal terminology and accurate use of terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Experience in translating documents from Indian regional languages to English Bachelor's degree in Law, Linguistics, Translation

The translator will be responsible for accurately translating legal documents such as FIRs, charge sheets, court judgments, and certificates into English. Day-to-day tasks include understanding complex legal terminology and ensuring the accurate reflection of legal meaning. Additional responsibilities may include collaboration with legal professionals, proofreading translations, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive legal materials. Qualifications Knowledge of Law and experience in handling legal documents Skills in Legal Document Preparation and understanding of legal processes Proficiency in Translation and Legal Translation, including familiarity with legal terminology Strong command of multiple Indian languages (e.g., Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) and fluency in English Attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent time management skills Bachelor's degree in Law, Linguistics, or related field is preferred Prior experience in legal translation or working with legal teams is an advantage
