We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commis 1 Line Chef to join the Sloppy Bros kitchen team. The role requires strong basics, speed on the line, attention to detail, and the ability to follow recipes consistently. Responsibilities: • Prepare, cook and assemble sandwiches, sides and kitchen prep as per Sloppy Bros standards. • Maintain high levels of hygiene, cleanliness and workstation organisation during service. • Follow all recipe cards, portion sizes, prep lists and SOPs accurately. • Assist in daily prep: sauces, spreads, marinades, frying, grilling, cutting and station set-up. • Ensure food quality, taste and presentation are consistent throughout the day. • Coordinate smoothly with the Head Chef and rest of the kitchen team during peak hours. • Follow FIFO, stock rotation and daily wastage control procedures. • Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any issues immediately. • Support in receiving inventory, checking freshness and storing items properly. • Maintain discipline, punctuality and responsibility on shift. Requirements: • Experience in fast-paced kitchens, QSR, cafés, sandwich shops, continental/Indian kitchens (minimum 1–2 years). • Basic understanding of grilling, frying, mise-en-place and pantry work. • Ability to work under pressure with speed and consistency. • Knowledge of hygiene standards (FSSAI preferred). • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new recipes and systems.
