Wits Innovation Lab is seeking a WordPress Developer with over 3 years of practical experience in constructing dynamic, responsive, and high-performing websites. The ideal candidate must possess expertise in WordPress customization, plugin development, and contemporary front-end technologies. As a WordPress Developer at Wits Innovation Lab, your responsibilities will include designing and creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, optimizing websites for speed, performance, and SEO, maintaining and updating existing WordPress sites, collaborating with designers and backend developers to provide user-friendly solutions, troubleshooting and efficiently resolving website issues, and ensuring mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. The candidate should have a strong command over WordPress CMS, a good grasp of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP, familiarity with MySQL and fundamental database operations, experience with page builders like Elementor and WPBakery, proficiency in managing website migrations and hosting setups, excellent communication and client-handling skills, and any additional skills would be advantageous.
