Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain custom WordPress and Shopify solutions, including themes, plugins, and applications Create seamless e-commerce experiences across both platforms using modern development practices Integrate and customize various payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Shop Pay) with proper security implementations Build and maintain APIs for both WordPress and Shopify applications, including custom endpoints and third-party integrations Design and optimize databases for WordPress applications and handle Shopify data structures effectively Implement automation workflows for content management, inventory synchronization, and order processing Ensure cross-platform consistency and maintain high performance across all solutions Technical Requirements: Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Expert knowledge in WordPress core, theme, and plugin development Proven experience with Shopify theme development using Liquid templating Experience with Shopify APIs, including REST and GraphQL Proficiency in WooCommerce and Shopify store customization Expertise in payment gateway integrations across both platforms Version control proficiency (Git) Platform-Specific Skills: WordPress: Advanced understanding of WordPress core functions and hooks Custom plugin and theme development experience WooCommerce customization and extension development Shopify: Proficiency in Shopify's Liquid template language Experience with Shopify Theme Kit and CLI tools Knowledge of Shopify App development Understanding of Shopify's admin API and storefront API Development Skills: Experience with headless commerce architectures Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities Proficiency in responsive design implementation Experience with automated testing and deployment Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce Additional Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Portfolio showcasing WordPress and Shopify projects Experience with e-commerce optimization and conversion rate optimization Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Knowledge of current e-commerce trends and best practices Project Management: Experience with Agile development methodologies Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong time management and organizational skills Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders
