Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) Engineer

As a Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) Executive for Wind energy projects in India, specifically in Bhubaneswar, you will play a crucial role in providing Wind Resource Assessment and Wind Plant design support during the developmental and construction phases of renewable energy projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify potential sites suitable for Wind Energy projects. - Monitor wind mast installation and maintenance activities. - Perform wind data monitoring, quality control, and analysis. - Develop wind monitoring campaigns. - Design wind farms, optimize layouts, provide energy prognosis, and conduct uncertainty analysis using wind flow software like WASP, WindPRO, and Openwind. - Conduct site visits as required. - Coordinate with vendors and consultants for meteorological mast installation, energy yield due diligence, and power curve verification tests. - Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements in wind energy. - Perform additional tasks to ensure successful project completion. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering/Atmospheric Science/Meteorology from a recognized college/university. - 2-4 years" experience in Wind Resources Assessment (WRA) and Wind Power Plants design. - Knowledge of wind energy principles, including wind turbine design, aerodynamics, and power generation. - Proficiency in using industry-specific software like WindPRO or OpenWind for wind farm layout design and energy yield analysis. - Experience in conducting CFD-based flow modeling analysis is desirable. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards. - Knowledge of environmental impact assessment processes and regulations related to wind energy projects. - Proficiency in data analytics tools such as excel-based macros and python. - Strong communication and reporting skills. - Familiarity with Wind Engineering standards and guidelines like IS, IEC, and Measnet.,
