Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of North Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, bread (naan, roti, paratha), and desserts. Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency. Innovate and introduce new dishes to the menu. Kitchen Operations: Ensure timely preparation and plating of dishes during service hours. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate replenishment needs. Maintain an organized mise-en-place for efficient workflow. Quality Control: Maintain the authenticity and quality of North Indian cuisine. Taste and adjust seasonings to meet established standards. Ensure that all food items are fresh and stored correctly. Hygiene & Safety: Comply with food safety and hygiene standards. Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations. Handle kitchen tools and appliances safely and responsibly. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and service teams. Assist in training junior cooks or trainees on North Indian cuisine. Participate in menu planning and feedback sessions. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a North Indian Cook or similar role (2-5 years preferred). Expertise in North Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients. Knowledge of tandoor operations is a plus. Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence. Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent is advantageous.
