Description
As a Website Strategy & Development Lead at a US-based Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking Advisory firm, your role is crucial in owning the strategic vision, technical execution, and ongoing performance of the public-facing website. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance the website's performance, user experience, and search engine optimization. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Strategy & Ownership** - Develop and own the overall strategy for the website, including content structure, UX, conversion paths, and technical SEO health. - Set priorities for website development and performance aligned with company goals & marketing KPIs. - Build and maintain the website roadmap, identifying areas for improvement and new opportunities. - Analyze user behavior, web analytics, and SEO metrics to drive strategy decisions. - **Implementation & Technical Leadership** - Implement front-end changes directly (React/Next.js, HTML/CSS, CMS, etc.) or coordinate closely with engineers. - Lead website infrastructure decisions, focusing on CMS architecture, performance optimization, and component libraries. - Ensure strong Core Web Vitals and SEO technical health, such as structured data, indexing, and site speed. - Manage staging, testing, and QA workflows for web deployments. - **Cross-functional Collaboration** - Collaborate with the SEO team to identify keyword opportunities, improve crawlability, and optimize landing pages. - Work with content and design teams to publish new content aligning with brand voice and SEO best practices. - Coordinate with engineering to deliver frontend components for the website and product landing pages. - Collaborate with analytics and growth teams to A/B test and iterate on key conversion flows. **Qualifications:** - 4+ years of experience in website development, growth marketing, or a similar technical role. - Strong frontend development skills, including HTML/CSS, JavaScript/React, Next.js, headless CMSs like Sanity, Contentful, or similar. - Deep understanding of modern SEO best practices in both technical and content aspects. - Proven track record in developing and executing web strategies that enhance performance and lead generation. - Experience in managing or building websites from scratch, preferably in a startup or growth-stage environment. - Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work independently with minimal direction. **Nice-to-Haves:** - Experience with analytics tools like GA4, Looker Studio, Amplitude, etc. - Familiarity with tools such as Webflow, Vercel, Figma, or Framer. - Basic backend experience or familiarity with modern API-driven web stacks. - Background in B2B SaaS, product-led growth, or developer tools is a plus.
