Role & responsibilities A web developer designs, builds, and maintains websites and web applications , ensuring they are visually appealing, easy to navigate, and function well, often using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Building Websites: Web developers create and maintain websites, ensuring they are functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing. Coding: They write code using programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as potentially others like Python, Java, or Ruby for back-end development. Front-End vs. Back-End: Web developers can specialize in front-end development (user interface and interaction), back-end development (server-side logic and databases), or both (full-stack). Testing and Troubleshooting: They test websites and applications to ensure they function correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Collaboration: Web developers often collaborate with designers, other developers, and stakeholders to bring a website or application to life. Performance and Capacity: They are responsible for the technical aspects of a website, including its performance and capacity (speed and how much traffic it can handle). 1. Technical Skills HTML, CSS, JavaScript- Responsive design & UI/UX principles- CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify)- Graphic design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop)- SEO & website performance optimization- Basic web hosting, domains, and Git- 2. Creative Skills Typography & color theory- Wireframing & prototyping- Branding & visual hierarchy- 4.
