Description
In your role as a QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of the development team responsible for creating a diverse range of products that meet exceptionally high standards. Your primary focus will be on supporting development processes and ensuring that these processes lead to the delivery of top-quality software. You will engage in a continuous testing cycle to identify and address defects promptly and cost-effectively. Collaboration with a cross-functional team comprising product owners and domain experts will be essential to clarify objectives, refine user stories, and establish non-functional requirements. To excel in your role, you will: - Promote good software development practices - Conduct functional testing of individual development tasks through automation - Create and maintain comprehensive test cases and evidence documentation - Thoroughly report and communicate defects - Establish strong relationships with the development team, product owners, and domain experts by providing accurate defect reports and becoming a subject matter expert - Collaborate with software engineers to replicate defects and enhance understanding of functionality - Develop automated test scripts for end-to-end regression testing - Contribute significantly to continuous improvement initiatives - Play a key role in your Agile team Basic Qualifications: - Possess a degree in computer science or engineering, or demonstrate equivalent industry experience - Have 1+ years of experience for Analyst level or 3+ years of experience for Associate level in test automation, test case documentation, and evidence collection - Proficiency in documenting, prioritizing, and facilitating defect remediation - Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Jasmine, TestNG, Cucumber, RestAssured, JSONAssert, etc. - Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Java - Knowledge of data verification and structured query language (SQL) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Source Control Management systems (e.g., SVN, Git) - Prior exposure to working in an Agile environment About Goldman Sachs: Goldman Sachs is a global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm founded in 1869.
