Job Title: AutoCAD Draughtsman Department: Engineering / Design Location: Isnapur, Hyderabad Experience Required: Minimum 5 years Reports To: Plant Manager Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draughtsman with a strong background in structural steel fabrication, bridges, and civil/structural works . The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise 2D drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed layouts , ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Drawing & Design Preparation: Develop and review detailed technical drawings, structural plans, and shop drawings for bridges, steel structures, and geotechnical engineering projects. Work with CAD software like AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and Revit to create 2D and 3D designs. Modify and revise designs based on engineering feedback and project requirements. 2. Coordination & Collaboration: Liaise with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure alignment between design and execution. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors to gather design inputs and resolve technical queries. Ensure drawing approvals from consultants and government authorities as required. 3. Quality Control & Compliance: Conduct quality checks on drawings to minimize errors before submission. Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation for audit and reference. Ensure that drawings align with project specifications, cost estimates, and safety guidelines. 4. Project Execution Support: Assist the site execution team by providing technical guidance and clarifications related to drawings. Attend project review meetings and contribute to design modifications when required. Support material estimation, BOQs, and procurement planning based on drawings. Skills & Qualifications: Diploma/ ITI in Civil, Mechanical, or Drafting (or equivalent qualification). Minimum 5 years experience in AutoCAD drafting, specifically in structural steel and bridges . Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) ; knowledge of Tekla/STAAD or Revit (added advantage). Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, detailing, and structural standards . Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and design specifications . Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under deadlines.
