Job Description

As a Vulnerability Management Specialist, your role involves supporting and maintaining the best practices for vulnerability detection and mitigation. You will be responsible for applying threat and vulnerability management programs to enhance information security practices and elevate their maturity levels. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in incident response triage and conduct proactive analysis to detect and mitigate information security-related vulnerabilities in networks, systems, and applications. - Analyze vulnerability feeds and assist the CDC operations by identifying Indicator of Compromise (IOC) and Indicator of Attack (IOA) based on vendor advisories, security alerts, and threat trends. - Provide analysis and apply the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) mechanism to assess the severity of vulnerabilities across all related vectors and strings. - Detect, analyze, and inform the CDC operation and EDR team about the latest threats and detection signatures, as well as create use cases to monitor or prevent potential vulnerability exploitations. - Deliver regular updates to stakeholders through detailed security assessment reports, highlighting security issues and recommending appropriate workarounds. - Track and manage the vulnerability process cycle diligently to ensure the timely resolution of all identified vulnerabilities. - Stay informed about the latest security vulnerabilities, vendor advisories, security incidents, and penetration techniques, and promptly notify stakeholders as necessary. - Provide support and actively participate in current and upcoming Vulnerability Management projects, offering security assessments and consultations. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and security analysis. - Familiarity with threat intelligence sources, vulnerability assessment tools, and security frameworks. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex security information. - Excellent communication skills to effectively report findings and recommendations to stakeholders. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to various security projects.
