As a Lighting and Compositing Artist in the Animation & VFX industry, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality lighting setups and compositing final renders to achieve the desired visual mood and quality across various projects, including video games, films, TV shows, and other media. Working closely with art and production teams, you will ensure that the lighting and compositing align with the creative vision and meet both technical and aesthetic requirements. Your key responsibilities will include creating and implementing lighting setups for characters, environments, and assets, collaborating with different teams to ensure consistency and integration, as well as compositing rendered layers and elements to produce final images or sequences that meet the creative brief. You will also be responsible for color grading, mood creation, optimization, performance, collaboration across departments, testing, and quality control. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of experience as a Lighting and Compositing Artist in the gaming, animation, or VFX industry. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, Nuke, After Effects, or Fusion is essential. A strong understanding of lighting techniques, compositing, and rendering pipelines, along with problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities, will be beneficial. Preferred qualifications include experience with real-time engines, familiarity with advanced lighting techniques, working in an art outsourcing studio, and knowledge of scripting languages to automate workflows.
