Video Editor

A Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw footage into a finished project that aligns with the director’s vision, brand guidelines, and project objectives. They enhance visual storytelling by selecting shots, creating smooth transitions, adding sound, graphics, and effects, and ensuring the final output meets technical and creative standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into polished content for various platforms (YouTube, social media, broadcast, websites, ads, etc.).
• Trim, sequence, and arrange clips to create a cohesive and compelling story.
• Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, and audio enhancements to improve sound quality.
• Insert graphics, text, animations, and motion elements as needed.
• Color grade and color correct to maintain visual consistency and mood.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project goals.
• Follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.
• Manage media assets, including file organization, backups, and naming systems.
• Use editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid.
• Review and revise edits based on team/client feedback.
• Export final videos in required formats suitable for different platforms.
