Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging videos (news stories, explainers, interviews, shorts, etc
)
Add graphics, motion elements, music, subtitles, and effectsCreate YouTube Shorts/Reels optimized for trending topics and quick audience engagement
Work closely with anchors/reporters and the editorial team to ensure accuracy and impact
Optimize videos for YouTube SEO (titles, tags, thumbnails, descriptions in collaboration with content team)
Stay updated on YouTube trends, formats, and viral content styles
Deliver content under tight deadlines with consistency and creativity
Requirements:Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio (YouTube/news/media preferred)
Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong storytelling sense ability to keep audiences hooked
Experience in editing both long-form videos and short-form reels/shorts
Understanding of YouTube algorithms, audience engagement, and content optimization
Nice-to-Have Skills:Motion graphics & animation skills
Experience in thumbnail design
Basic knowledge of video shooting/camera handling
