Vice President - Software Engineering

As a key member of our team, you will take on the following responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects. - Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team. - Offer technical guidance and support career development for team members. Technology & Development: - Design, architect, and build robust web applications utilizing Python (Django/Flask) for backend and Angular for frontend. - Uphold high-performance, modular, and scalable code by implementing industry best practices. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and drive their adoption when beneficial. Project & Process Management: - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project scope and technical requirements. - Manage sprint planning, task prioritization, and resource allocation to ensure project success. - Optimize development workflows to ensure efficient project execution. Code Quality & System Reliability: - Enforce coding standards, testing protocols, and CI/CD pipelines to maintain code quality. - Conduct comprehensive code reviews to ensure maintainability and adherence to best practices. - Address technical challenges to enhance system performance and reliability. Innovation & Scalability: - Evaluate and incorporate new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve development efficiency and product quality. - Drive architectural enhancements to support business scalability and future growth. Qualifications: - 10+ years of software development experience with a successful track record of delivering large-scale projects. - Minimum 8 years of experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring engineering teams. - Proficiency in Python (Django/Flask) for backend and Angular for frontend. - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design (SQL/NoSQL). - Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git). - Experience in scaling technology teams and optimizing development processes. Education & Soft Skills: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. - Excellent communication, decision-making, and team management abilities.
