Vice President - Principle Developer (Java & AWS / Bigdata)

As a Vice President - Principle Developer specializing in Java and Python, you will play a crucial role within the Market Risk team of the Risk Engines Group. Your responsibilities will include leading the team regionally, overseeing the design and development work in the Market Risk domain, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. You will be instrumental in designing solutions, providing guidance to the team, and collaborating closely with the regional stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering, scientific, or quantitative field, along with a proven track record in software design and development. Your technical expertise should encompass a minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in AWS, Java, and Big Data, with proficiency in areas such as Multi-Threading, Design Patterns, and Java 8. Additionally, you must have practical exposure to Public Cloud platforms, experience in building messaging-based systems, and familiarity with Java, SQL, and optionally Dremio for development purposes. Knowledge of containerized applications, disaster recovery strategies, and strong communication skills are essential requirements for this role. Your success in this position will be further enhanced by your ability to multitask effectively, work collaboratively as part of a team, and adapt to the dynamic and demanding environment typical of the Market Risk domain.
