Testing and verification of AMD Software Tools and flows, including test planning and execution for end-to-end system creation with h/w configuration on board.
Develop verification methodologies for efficient testing, focused on finding critical defects in a timely and cost-effective manner, with proper escalation and reporting.
Debug failures across multiple software components and their interaction with hardware, IPs and simulation; perform root-cause analysis, report failures, recreate problems and verify fixes.
Develop test plans and unit-level test cases to validate new software features.
Create an automation environment and maintain a high-coverage regression suite to keep the quality of test tools high.
Work with stakeholders to plan and execute the validation methodology for the Xilinx tools and to improve the software development process.
Must have
Understanding of FPGA/ASIC designs and verification flow
Understanding of Xilinx FPGA architecture and tool flow
Good understanding of logic design and HDL (Verilog/SV/VHDL)
Good debugging skills with digital design and automation flow
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills, including strong on-board debugging
Expertise in scripting and good knowledge of PERL/TCL/C-Shell
Hands-on experience creating efficient automation and maintaining a high-coverage regression suite
BS in ECE or equivalent, or MS in ECE
Self-driven, motivated, results-oriented individual with strong academic achievements
Experience: 2-3 years in software or FPGA tool verification
Nice to have
Understanding of Xilinx Vivado and Vitis tools
Protocol knowledge: SPI, IIC, PCIE, Ethernet, USB, HDMI
Interface knowledge: AXI, GT, DDR4 (JEDEC), NoC, SPI
