Preoperative Duties: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment. Set up the operating room with necessary surgical tools, sterile drapes, and materials. Assist in patient positioning and skin preparation for surgery. Verify surgical checklist and support in ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Intraoperative Duties: Provide direct support to surgeons during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, suctioning, suturing, and other technical tasks. Monitor and maintain a sterile field at all times. Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper labelling and documentation. Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment when required. Postoperative Duties: Assist in dressing wounds and transferring patients from the OT. Clean and restock the operating room after procedures. Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Administrative and Support Tasks: Maintain surgical logs and complete procedure documentation accurately. Participate in surgical team briefings and debriefings. Support inventory and restocking of surgical supplies. Management will assign any other tasks and responsibilities based on individual skills, capabilities, and performance.
