Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer Mechanical CAD to lead the product design and development of mill and equipment liners for mining and mineral processing applications. The ideal candidate will drive the end-to-end design process, from concept generation to detailed engineering, using Autodesk Inventor and collaborating with global teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the product design and development of liners for mining equipment (including mill liners, chute liners, and other wear-resistant components), ensuring optimal performance, durability, and manufacturability. Develop 2D drawings and 3D models for new and existing liner products using Autodesk Inventor. Create detailed assembly and manufacturing drawings with comprehensive notes for production teams. Support implementation and enhancement of engineering change orders (ECO) using Autodesk Vault. Ensure compliance with design standards, safety factors, geometric tolerancing, and customer specifications. Evaluate tolerance stack-ups and apply proper GD&T techniques to ensure manufacturability and reliability. Collaborate with Global Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to translate customer requirements into innovative liner solutions. Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of new liner designs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance liner performance, reduce maintenance, and increase equipment uptime. Preferred Candidate Profile Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault. Experience in product design for mining, mineral processing, bulk material handling, or heavy engineering domains. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials selection, and GD&T. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in product design, specifically for electrical equipment like transformers, inductors, and chokes. This role requires a strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and a deep understanding of the design principles necessary for creating high-performance, compliant, and manufacturable products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in collaborating with our UK-based team and clients. Role & responsibilities Lead the mechanical design and development of transformers, including core, coil, tank, and cooling systems. Create and manage 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring all designs comply with geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and other technical specifications. Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOM) for production and assembly. Ensure all designs and processes adhere to relevant international and UK standards, including the IEC 60076 series and ENA 35-1 and BSEN60076 standards where applicable. Collaborate closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure an integrated, optimized, and cost-effective design. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical requirements and translate them into robust design solutions. Support the implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3-6 years of experience in product design, with a strong focus on electrical equipment, preferably transformers. Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential. Experience with other CAD software is a plus. Proven experience in designing to international standards. Demonstrated ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings with a solid understanding of GD&T. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
