Universal Banker

As a Customer Service Officer at Standard Chartered, your primary responsibility is to deliver quality service to customers by performing various transactions, such as cash deposits, cash withdrawals, accepting instructions for FD breaks, and effecting internal account transfers. It is essential to ensure that all services are provided accurately and with a warm demeanor. Additionally, you will assist in managing customer traffic efficiently, recommend workflow changes for improved customer service, and contribute to branch performance through referrals and effective operations controls. Your role also involves conducting general reconciliation and compliance activities, including dual control of cash functions, reviewing processing entries and vouchers, and controlling security stationary. You will be expected to identify prospects for cross-selling and refer them to sales staff, educate customers on alternate banking channels, and ensure compliance with banks" Mis-selling & Sales Policies at all times. Furthermore, you will be responsible for premises management, including merchandising, housekeeping, store management, and branch upkeep. Health and safety guidelines must be followed diligently, including reporting accidents, incidents, and hazards in the workplace.
