Position Title: Site Supervisor – Aurangabad Water Supply Scheme Location: Aurangabad, Bihar Reporting To: Project Manager / Head Office (Umang Infrastructure) Project Type: Pipeline Network & Overhead Tank (OHT) Construction Role Overview: We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities for the Aurangabad water supply project. The candidate should have prior experience in civil infrastructure projects—preferably in pipeline laying, water supply, and OHT works. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth field-level execution, labor coordination, and compliance with site instructions and project specifications. Key Responsibilities: Site Execution Supervise trench excavation, pipe laying (DI/CI/HDPE), jointing, testing, backfilling, and surface restoration work. Oversee shuttering, reinforcement, and concreting for OHT foundation and tank structure. Ensure works are executed as per drawings and technical specifications. Labor & Vendor Coordination Track daily labor presence (contractor-wise). Assign specific jobs to labor teams and ensure they remain engaged throughout the workday. Follow up with vendors for manpower and machinery availability. Material Tracking Ensure timely availability of pipes, fittings, cement, steel, and other materials at the site. Maintain a basic register of material received and consumed. Inform PM or office in advance if any material shortage arises. Quality Checks Report issues like improper compaction, misaligned pipes, or poor finishing to the PM immediately. Assist during hydrotesting and concrete cube casting/checking. Ensure safety and cleanliness on-site. Reporting & Communication Submit daily progress updates via WhatsApp (photos + brief report). Maintain a daily logbook noting: Work executed (pipe length laid, depth, structure work progress) Number of laborers per contractor Materials received Issues/hindrances Attend daily coordination calls or in-person meetings with the PM. Requirements: Minimum 12th pass or ITI/Diploma in Civil preferred. 2+ years of field experience in water pipeline/OHT work. Ability to read site drawings and follow instructions. Strong communication, record-keeping, and team-handling skills. Must have a smartphone with WhatsApp and camera functionality. Local candidates from or near Aurangabad preferred.
