Job Title: Senior Technical Lead – Hardware & Surveillance Systems Location: [City / State – Multiple Sites | Police Infrastructure Projects] Employment Type: Full-time | Leadership Role Experience Required: 10–15+ years (Relevant experience in large-scale surveillance / critical infrastructure projects preferred) ⸻ About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Technical Lead – Hardware & Surveillance Systems to lead, mentor, and strengthen our hardware engineering team supporting a large-scale, mission-critical police surveillance infrastructure. This role demands deep technical expertise in enterprise-grade servers, storage, CCTV recording systems, and surveillance networks, along with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. The individual will play a key role in operations, technology upgradation, training, solution design, and OEM coordination, ensuring high availability and performance across 208+ police stations. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Operations • Lead and guide a team of hardware and field engineers responsible for surveillance infrastructure across 208 police stations. • Ensure 24x7 availability, uptime, and performance of high-end surveillance systems. • Take ownership of incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive maintenance. • Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalation matrices, and best practices for system operations. • Review and approve technical designs, layouts, and deployment plans for new and existing sites. Hardware & Surveillance Expertise • Hands-on expertise in: • Enterprise-grade servers and storage systems (preferably Tyco or equivalent OEMs) • CCTV recording platforms (NVRs/DVRs), VMS solutions, and video storage architecture • IP cameras, encoders, decoders, switches, and fiber networks • Manage capacity planning, performance optimization, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management of hardware. • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data retention, and government surveillance standards. Training & Knowledge Development • Conduct regular technical training sessions for internal engineers and field teams. • Design training modules on: • New surveillance technologies • Hardware troubleshooting • OEM best practices • System upgrades and migrations • Act as the technical mentor and escalation authority for complex issues. Tender, Pre-Sales & Business Support • Provide strong technical inputs for RFPs, tenders, and government bids. • Support business and tender teams with: • Solution architecture and Bill of Materials (BoM) • Compliance matrices and technical write-ups • Cost-effective and scalable system designs • Participate in technical presentations, demos, and clarifications with clients and authorities. OEM & Stakeholder Coordination • Act as the primary technical interface with OEMs such as Tyco and other surveillance hardware vendors. • Coordinate for: • Technical escalations • Product upgrades and replacements • Warranty and AMC support • Liaise with police officials, government stakeholders, and project managers for smooth execution. ⸻ Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills • Strong expertise in: • Enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage • CCTV recording systems, VMS platforms • IP surveillance architecture and networking • Proven experience managing large, distributed surveillance deployments. • Strong understanding of: • Network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, multicast) • Storage optimization for video workloads • Redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery concepts • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and system-level issues under pressure. Experience & Background • 10–15+ years of relevant experience in: • Surveillance systems • Hardware infrastructure • Government / police / smart city / critical infrastructure projects • Prior experience with Tyco or equivalent high-end OEM surveillance systems is highly desirable. • Experience leading technical teams and multi-site operations.
