Previous experience with automated cookbook testing. Maintain existing Chef Recipes For all existing Chef recipes the team should maintain them in a working state. Update them as necessary to keep up with the latest software releases and patches Monitor the ticketing queue for Chef related trouble tickets that come in and remediate the issues If the Chef dashboard is reporting any issues, the team should create a trouble ticket for it and remediate it on their own Maintain Chef Automate software running on Cloud infrastructure We installed Chef on AWS EC2 and we maintain that software and upgrades to it. The team should be able to maintain this and upgrade when necessary There is also DR configured for Chef and the team should be able to initiate DR and support our configuration Make sure cookbooks are promoted across environments when deployed. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient code deployments. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline processes and improve collaboration. Security and Compliance: Ensure that infrastructure complies with security standards and best practices. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Chef, as well as other DevOps tools like Jenkins, Env0, GitHub actions. Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or Bash. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address infrastructure issues.
