They are a fast-growing execution-first company in the real estate and interior design space. They run complex projects with lean teams, tight deadlines and high client expectations. This role leads the entire people function—from hiring and onboarding to performance, compliance, culture and workforce planning. You are not a support function. You are the operating system behind. The role is based at our corporate headquarters in Gurgaon, but your impact spans project sites, vendor teams, senior leadership and field operations. This is a role for someone who can run the HR engine, day in, day out and scale it with clarity. You will need to be hands-on, firm when required and genuinely comfortable dealing with a mix of site engineers, designers, vendors, supervisors and workers—not just office staff. What You will Be Responsible For - 1. Strategic HR Alignment & Org Design • Translate business strategy into people priorities: structure, span, roles, and reporting • Partner with the MD and project leadership to anticipate org needs • Build systems for scale—without making things bureaucratic 2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding (Top Priority) • Own end-to-end hiring across functions: design, execution, procurement, admin • Build a reliable pipeline—balance urgency with fit • Drive structured onboarding that reflects company standards, not patchwork starts 3. Performance & Productivity • Design and implement clear KRAs and review cycles (not once-a-year checkboxes) • Track individual and team output through project-based scorecards • Support performance improvement plans without drama 4. People Support & Engagement • Be accessible to teams—from architects to accountants to admin • Handle grievances and morale issues proactively • Build a culture of feedback, accountability, and respect 5. Compliance, Policy & HR Ops • Own payroll inputs, PF/ESIC, contracts, attendance, and leave • Maintain audit-ready documentation across the employee lifecycle • Lead POSH compliance, vendor HR coordination, and site-HQ sync 6. Training, Admin & Asset Oversight • Track skill gaps and drive learning at the field level • Oversee IT hardware assignment, travel norms, admin SOPs • Ensure systems and policies are up-to-date and used (not just filed) 7. Exit & Continuity • Ensure dignified, documented exits • Conduct structured feedback loops to track attrition patterns • Own succession planning for critical roles What Success Looks Like (30/90/180 Days) • 30 Days: Clear grasp of org structure, open roles and known HR pain points • 90 Days: Hiring velocity up, policy clarity improved, payroll/admin running tight • 180 Days: Functional KRAs live, attrition risks flagged, culture stabilizing across functions DO NOT APPLY IF… • You have never worked as an HR lead at a live project site or execution-heavy environment • You are looking for hybrid, remote or policy-focused corporate HR roles • You have less than 5 years of full-time HR generalist or HRBP experience • You are uncomfortable working with both white-collar (managers, architects, engineers) and blue-collar (site workers, contractors) staff We are being upfront because this role demands maturity, independence and site-readiness from Day 1.
