Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including ledger scrutiny, journal entries, and reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per statutory requirements. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with accounting standards. Finalize balance sheet, P&L account, and cash flow statements. Monitor accounts receivable, payable, and cash flow management. 2. Auditing & Compliance Lead and coordinate internal and statutory audits. Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and resolve audit queries. Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other regulatory laws. Implement internal controls and SOPs to strengthen financial governance. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities. 3. GST (Goods & Services Tax) Management Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, Annual Return, etc.). Handle GST audits, notices, and departmental assessments. Perform regular ITC reconciliation between books and GST portal. Monitor GST compliance for all branches/units. Interpret GST provisions and advise management on tax optimization. 4. Income Tax & Direct Taxation Compute advance tax, TDS, and final tax liabilities. Ensure timely filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for company and key executives. Handle tax assessments, scrutiny cases, and notices. Ensure proper TDS deduction, deposit, returns, and Form 16/16A issuance. Support tax audits and coordinate with tax consultants/CA. 5. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Control Prepare annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actuals vs budget and analyze variances. Provide cost control insights and financial performance analysis. Assist management in strategic financial planning. 6. Team Management & Coordination Supervise and guide the accounts team. Delegate tasks and ensure adherence to timelines. Train juniors on compliance, taxation, and ERP systems. Coordinate with operations, HR, and procurement teams for smooth financial flow. 7. Banking, Treasury & Fund Management Manage banking operations, limits, and documentation. Handle loan accounts, interest workings, and compliance with bank covenants. Oversee cash flow planning and fund utilization. 8. Management & Stakeholder Reporting Prepare MIS and management reports. Present financial insights to senior management. Coordinate with Company Secretaries, Auditors, and Tax Consultants.
