Designation: Sales Officer Department: Sales Location: Panipat, Hisar & Faridabad (Haryana) Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview The Sales Officer is responsible for achieving primary and secondary sales targets, expanding distribution reach, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring effective market execution. The role requires a proactive individual who can drive growth through effective territory planning, strong market connect, and collaboration with trade partners. Key Responsibilities Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per company objectives. Manage and develop the distributor and retailer network to ensure availability and visibility of products in the market. Plan and execute daily market beats, ensuring adequate coverage of retail outlets and productive calls. Implement sales schemes, trade offers, and promotional activities as directed by the management. Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely order booking, billing, and collection through the distributor. Track competitor activities and provide regular market feedback to the management. Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and trade margins. Maintain daily reporting through Sales MIS / mobility app for sales performance and outlet coverage. Coordinate with the accounts, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of sales operations. Support the distributor in managing claims, damage settlements, and financial reconciliations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Achievement of primary & secondary sales targets. Numeric & weighted distribution growth. Outlet coverage and productive call ratio. Execution of schemes and visibility drives. Distributor ROI and stock hygiene. Timely collection and claim settlements. Qualifications and Experience Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 25 years of experience in FMCG or Consumer Durables sales (Channel / General Trade). Proven experience in managing distributors and retail networks. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Working knowledge of Excel, MIS, and mobility-based sales reporting tools. Personal Attributes Self-motivated with a strong result orientation. Good analytical and planning abilities.
