Job Title: Project Manager Data Center Design & Build Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) Location: Bengaluru Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: 8 to 15 years About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the end-to-end design and build of data center (DC) facilities . The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical projects on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of DC design and build projects, from initiation through handover. Coordinate with design consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals. Define project scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Review and approve technical designs, construction drawings, and specifications. Oversee construction activities, site readiness, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) installation, and commissioning processes. Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE). Mitigate project risks through proactive planning and issue resolution. Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Ensure quality assurance and control throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate smooth transition to operations upon project completion. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in data center projects. Proven track record in delivering DC infrastructure projects from design to commissioning. Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure systems (HVAC, UPS, power distribution, fire protection, BMS). Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and reporting tools. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with hyperscale or colocation data center environments. Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency best practices. LEED or equivalent green building certification is a plus.
